Mill Race Park and EVO Kitchen | Cambridge Wedding
On a sunny October afternoon, I had the great pleasure of photographing my dear friends C and G on their wedding day. As we had celebrated their elopement a few months prior, there was an air of calmness and stress-free joy floating through the wedding party that day. One of my favourite parts of the day was the very first thing we did - a nod to that private elopement by recreating their portraits in the same corner of a park in Cambridge. Revisiting that same willow tree by the water with just the two of them felt like such a special, full-circle moment!
With all of their loved ones in the amphitheatre style seating at Mill Race Park, their wedding ceremony took place in front of the beautiful window shaped ruins with a view of the river flowing behind them. Though they were already married on paper, their vows and hand fasting ceremony in front of all their family and friends was an emotional experience for us all.
Just a short trip down the road was their reception space at EVO kitchen, which thanks to their incredible planners had already been set up earlier that day. Complete with a cake made by grandma and wooden decor made by grandpa, G and C’s whole day was filled with sentimental family contributions.
And just like that, the party had started! Lively speeches, a competitive bouquet toss and a packed dance floor were the best way to end an already exciting day. Without a doubt, it was a night to remember!
