Between some intense weather and a long drive ahead of us all, this session almost didn’t happen. It poured rain my entire drive there and back, but the skies cleared up just long enough for an incredibly moody forest shoot at the Guelph Arboretum. The three of us showed up in different variations of the same outfit (Blundstones required) and the rest was history! As I’m uploading this session, I’m currently editing their stunning wedding photos nearly a year later so stay tuned for those!

Nothing like the perfect fall day to bring out some Taylor Swift inspired posing - Wildwood Conservation Area never disappoints! These two provided the perfect example of casual and complimentary outfits, straight out of an advertisement. Crisp fall weather is one of the ideal times for photos and allows for layering (my favourite)! Overcast days also make for earlier shoots, but you’ll be home before the sun sets to warm back up.

I love a sunny session as much as the next photographer, but something about stormy weather just adds to a shoot! This may have set a new record for high speed photography as we wanted to beat the incoming thunderstorm - but the running around made it even more fun! That’s why we’re hesitant to reschedule for weather, this unpredictable day gave us the 20 minutes we needed complete with a moody sky. Never a dull moment at Shakespeare Pond!

Another year of shivering down, we managed to (mostly) avoid the rain and document some Christmas spirit! Our lovely hosts, the Kroes Family, provided the perfect backdrop complete with a bonfire. While these seem like a lifetime ago, I thought they deserved a permanent spot on the blog. Our first Christmas Mini day, and our first pandemic Christmas no less. This chilly day was filled with laughter, shivering and so much sanitizing but it turned out better than I ever could have imagined! Thank you to Happy Rock Christmas Tree Farm for hosting myself and my lovely clients - if you’re in the London or Belmont area it’s a wonderful short drive to pick out a tree this holiday season.
